High Altitude Training Camp in Minturn, Colorado

June 28-July 1

This camp is specifically designed for athletes racing the XTERRA Mountain Championships at Beaver Creek and the Pan American Championships in Ogden, Utah. The camp will cover training and race strategy including open water swimming in Notingham Lake, the same lake you will swim in for the Mountain Championships and recon on the race run and bike courses.

Camp Goals

Train on Race Specific Terrain

We want to offer athletes training for XTERRA Beaver Creek a unique training opportunity that allows them to train on the exact terrain they will be racing. This will give them a better idea of their individual strengths and weaknesses on such a course with enough time to hone their skills before each event.

Learn, Learn, Learn

In order to reach your potential as a triathlete you must be an active learner. Presentations specific for training for offroad triathlon will ensure that athletes leave camp with a greater understanding of what it takes to develop a successful training program.

Work on Triathlon and Offroad Specific Skills

Road and Offroad triathlons do a have few things in common, but their are many differences. There are specific skills that separate competitive offroad athletes whether it’s cornering on the mountain bike, or running high speed down hill single track. You will learn the little things that help separate you from your competition.

Work Hard and Have Fun

The XTERRA tribe doesn’t just compete against each other on race day. They enjoy hanging out and pushing each other to the limits. We want to facilitate an intimate atmosphere where athletes train hard and have fun.
